Exercise: follow a workforce client
Read availability, check-in history, and referral boundaries.
- Where
- Staff portal > Workforce
- Access
- Use an authorized demo role. These exercises do not require saving, sending, or approving.
Opens the demo in a separate window. Place it beside these instructions to follow along. Sign in if prompted.
Start this exercise
Choose Try this exercise in the demo in the online guide. Sign in if prompted. The correct staff section opens with these instructions beside it. Collapsing the panel does not close your record or clear form entries.
Use clearly fictional records. If an example record is missing or your role cannot view it, skip that inspection and read the related guide; do not create records or change permissions to complete this exercise.
Practice steps
- Open Workforce and select a clearly fictional client.
- Find registry status, availability, and check-in history. Compare the next check-in date with today.
- Review the authorization area if your role permits it; do not record or change consent.
- Open Workforce Referrals and review an existing referral if one is available.
- Locate the distinction between client review and employer release.
Check your understanding
- Are availability and eligibility the same? No.
- Does a match automatically authorize employer release? No.
- Should private staff notes be copied into a shared message? No.
Finish
You can distinguish registry status, availability, consent, and referral release without changing a client record.
Close any opened record or report. Leave the sample data unchanged. Completion is for your own learning; this guide does not issue a certificate or record course completion.
